A: If you are looking for someone to move walls, coordinate construction, or to show up at your home to decorate physically, this is NOT the service for you. If you are looking for an interior designer who will partner with you in creating customized spaces that reflect your aesthetic and seamlessly work with your lifestyle conveniently created on a virtual platform, online services ARE for you. This process does require your participation in collecting data, measurements, some purchasing and installing your selections. You are not left to do these elements on your own; detailed information and guidance are provided to you with premium virtual service every step of the way.
A: Online design services are more affordable than traditional design services. The design fee alone can at least be three times higher. In virtual design services, the interior designer functions as a guide giving you recommendations through their expertise and curating selections. There are no moving of walls or projects related to plumbing or electrical. Therefore a designer can work with you remotely while you take on limited responsibilities. This hybrid model results in lower fees. I also offer a payment plan that spreads the design fee over a specified amount of time. I say it's a win, win!
A: Typically, I complete projects within six weeks depending on the scope of the project for the Wellness Walk Thru Asssessment + Design service. If items needed to complete the project are not submitted to the designer promptly, it may extend the timeline.
A: I am a professionally trained interior designer that specializes in human-centered design. What that means is I am an expert in understanding and anticipating your needs and placing YOU at the center of the design process. I make sure I am collecting information from you in questionnaires, photographs, and conversations to ensure I am creating a space that is customized to your identity and function.
A: Yes! You will have the opportunity to send detailed photographs and measurements of these pieces so I can coordinate them with the rest of your room if that is your desire.
A: Prices and stock of certain pieces may fluctuate. I cannot guarantee that the price will remain the same or will be in stock after a specified amount of time. Many virtual designers specify retail items which is where we see the most issues with stocking. To offset these issues, I purchase most of the items for you from vendors that work directly with the interior design trade. This way of doing business allows me to see lead times and what is readily available to ensure time is not wasted and that you have a better opportunity to get items you approve. I am happy to find a replacement if a selected item runs out of stock within 30 days. If you need additional help after this time, an hourly rate to source an alternative may apply.
A: Well-being is a state of being in balance, mind, body, and spirit. My business is founded in the principles of well-being and salutogenics, which is looking at health from a preventative perspective, aspiring to live our optimal lives. I operate from the knowledge and understanding that your home can positively or negatively impact your well-being using scientific research to support my recommendations and solutions.
A: Evidence-based design uses credible scientific research to inform design decisions or practices. I use evidence-based design in my practice to create the best possible solutions for my clients. This practice makes my design solutions more credible and gives my clients more significant support in enhancing their well-being.
A: Open dining/living rooms are treated as two separate rooms and require their own package. This applies to other spaces that are not physically separated by walls.
A: Yes! If you select two or more rooms within one project, you will receive a 10% quantity price break.
